Steamboat Lake Boat Rental Policies
BOAT RESERVATIONS POLICY

We will take advanced reservations 2 week in advance.
After August 15, we will not take advanced reservations. Please call ahead prior to heading up, hours are subject to change after August 14. Walk-in boat rentals may be available until Labor Day Weekend

Full payment is required to hold a reservation. Renters will need to sign for reading and acknowledging all policies and rules at time of rental.

Rentals begin at the time requested on the reservation.

Reservations for pontoon boats and non-motorized boats are recommended.

Dogs are allowed on pontoon boats for $25 fee. As per ADA laws, qualified service dogs are exempt from this fee.

Due to safety issues, Dogs (incl ADA service dogs) are not allowed on SUPs.

Change fees of $100 for a pontoon boat rental will be charged for any change made to a boat reservation.

All gas and propane (if applicable) is included in the pontoon boat rental price.

Safety equipment is included in the rental price.

Prices are subject to change without notice.

All boat reservations subject to our Boat Cancellation Policy and Inclement Weather Policies (see below).

BOAT CANCELLATION POLICY

Any cancellation within 10 days of the reservation date a 25% rebooking fee applies plus any charges from the online reservation system.

Any cancellation within 5 days of the reservation date, a 50% rebooking fee applies plus any charges from the online reservation system.

Any cancellation within 72 hours of the reservation date, a 75% rebooking fee applies plus any charges from the online reservation system.

A no-show or cancellation within 48 hours of the reservation date will not receive a refund.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

We do not issue any refunds for loss of time due to weather. Please check the forecast at our weather station and prepare accordingly.

We may offer a time pro-rated Store Credit (Rain Check) good for 1 year from issue under these circumstances:

Lightning within 5 miles of the Steamboat Lake Marina weather station, at the time of rental.

Winds greater than 35mph as measured by the Steamboat Lake Marina weather station, at the time of rental.

Any other condition deemed unsafe by marina staff

We will not release a boat from the docks at the beginning of a rental under these conditions:

Lightning within 5 miles of the Steamboat Lake Marina weather station

Winds greater than 35mph as measured by the Steamboat Lake Marina weather station.

Any other condition deemed unsafe by marina staff

Any Store Credit is fully at the discretion of our staff.

Any Store Credit issued is valid for 1 year from issue and is valid for a similar product (i.e. boat rental credit for a boat rental).

We do not issue any credits for intermittent rain, snow or otherwise intermittent wet weather.

Storms move quickly through the valley and often the conditions become pleasant again soon after a storm passes.

BOAT RENTAL RULES​

Renters are responsible for leaving the dock on time and returning the boat on time. Please be aware that other guests may have the boat reserved after you.

Beaching of the pontoon boats on shore is strictly prohibited.

A $250 late fee plus additional rental time of $200/half hour may be charged for any boat that is returned late.

Boats left unreasonably dirty are subject to a $150 cleaning fee.

BOAT SAFETY RULES​

All children under 13 must wear a USCG approved PFD at all times while on any watercraft.

Towing anything behind rental pontoon boats is strictly prohibited.
-
All occupants of pontoon boats must stay inside the enclosed space (inside gates) of the boat at all times while the boat engine is on.

State Park Rules dictate that swimming from the boat is not allowed.
Regulation #100 C(14)(a) "It shall be prohibited for any person to swim or bathe in any Parks and Outdoor Recreation waters, except in areas designated for such use"
